MANCHESTER — A Manchester man was arrested and charged with violation of privacy following a lengthy investigation into the discovery of a hidden camera.
In July 2024, a woman reported finding a camera in her bedroom.
The Manchester Police Cyber Crime Unit launched an investigation and identified 45-year-old Shaun Michael Gearty as a suspect.
Police determined that Gearty had installed the camera in the woman’s bedroom without her permission.
Gearty was arrested on Jan. 27 and released on personal recognizance bail.
