WESTMINSTER –– A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 91 Southbound at MM 27 on Feb. 3 at 8:06 p.m., resulting in the death of a New Hampshire woman, state police reported.
Kimberly Barsalou, 53, of Claremont, was pronounced dead at the scene after her 2009 Dodge Journey struck the rear of a Vermont Agency of Transportation plow truck.
The truck was actively salting the road amid light precipitation and wet conditions.
The driver of the plow truck, Christopher Becker, 62, of Springfield, sustained minor injuries and was treated at Springfield Hospital.
His vehicle suffered minor damage.
Vermont State Police, along with the Westminster Fire Department, Golden Cross Ambulance, Rescue Inc, and other local agencies responded to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the precise cause of the incident.
