LYNDON — Two individuals were taken into custody following a family dispute that escalated into a burglary and other criminal offenses late Tuesday night, according to the Vermont State Police.
Troopers responded to a call on Main Street at approximately 10:45 p.m.
They discovered that Tesha Coy, 27, of St. Johnsbury, had allegedly committed burglary, unlawful mischief, unlawful trespass, and violated the conditions of her release.
Coy reportedly fled the scene before law enforcement arrived but was later apprehended.
Authorities determined that Daniel Gessner, 42, of Sheffield, was an accessory after the fact.
Both Coy and Gessner were arrested and transported to the state police barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
Gessner was released with a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Feb. 24 at 8:30 a.m.
Coy was held on a $5,000 bail and taken to the Northeast Correctional Complex.
She is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Feb. 3 at 12:30 p.m.
The victims involved in the incident include Tabitha Bragdon, 40, from Lyndon, and a 23-year-old from St. Johnsbury, whose name has not been released by authorities due to the nature of the offenses.
The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
