Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help to locate wanted man

CONCORD — The Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office has named Shane Johnson, 40, as the February 2025 Wanted Person of the Month, and is seeking the public’s assistance in locating him.

Johnson, a white male with brown hair and blue eyes, is approximately 5’11” tall and weighs 185 lbs.

Authorities have been searching for Johnson since a warrant was issued for his arrest on Jan. 22.

He is wanted on charges of second-degree assault with strangulation, a Class B felony, and additional misdemeanor charges including resisting arrest or detention, domestic violence simple assault, and simple assault.

The last known locations for Johnson were in Concord and Nashua, New Hampshire.

The Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information regarding Johnson’s whereabouts to contact them at (603) 796-6644.

For those wishing to provide information anonymously, tips can be given to the Concord Regional Crime Line at (603) 226-3100.

The public is advised to exercise caution and not to approach or attempt to apprehend Johnson.

The notice was authorized by Sheriff David Croft on Feb. 3.
