MILTON — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 left a Burlington woman with suspected serious injuries, Vermont State Police reported Monday night.
The accident occurred at around 7:47 p.m. near mile marker 103.0, where a 2023 Audi SQ5 driven by Karen Moon, 47, veered off the roadway.
The vehicle crashed through a guardrail and overturned down an embankment, resulting in total damage to the car.
Moon, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was transported to the UVM Medical Center.
The cloudy weather conditions and dry roads were noted at the time of the incident.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and have asked for witnesses to come forward.
