WESTMINSTER — A 76-year-old Westminster woman has been arrested on charges of domestic assault, cruelty to a child, and violation of conditions of release, authorities said.
Windham County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance call at a Westminster residence on the evening of Jan. 17.
The investigation led by Deputy Thomas Raymond and Detective Sergeant Mario Checchi resulted in the arrest of Shirley Sprague, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The incident, recorded under case number 25WHC000321, occurred at around 6:50 p.m. Sprague was taken into custody and processed at the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.
Following her arrest, Sprague was cited to appear at Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Jan. 21.
The Sheriff’s Office has not provided additional details on the circumstances surrounding the alleged crimes.
