Man charged with DUI after swerving into oncoming traffic in Danville

DANVILLE — A local man was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and negligent operation after his truck swerved into oncoming traffic on Jan. 23.

Vermont State Police said they observed a truck veering into the opposite lane on the intersection of Rt 2 and Rt 15 at 5:33 p.m.

The trooper conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as 55-year-old Edward Farr of Danville.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Farr was operating the vehicle under the influence.

Following the incident, Farr was arrested and later released with a citation.

He is scheduled to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Feb. 10 at 8:30 a.m.
