MILTON — A routine interaction with a motorist led to a significant narcotics bust on Dec. 19, when officers from the Milton Police Department encountered Briana Gammon.
During the stop, an officer noticed a container with a white powdery substance in Gammon’s vehicle, along with residue on the steering wheel and other interior surfaces.
Upon questioning, Gammon provided a false name and birth date, prompting the officer to detain the vehicle and request a search warrant.
Further investigation allowed the officer to correctly identify Gammon and revealed that she had active arrest warrants from other agencies.
Once the search warrant was executed, a substantial amount of narcotics was found inside the vehicle.
Gammon is now charged with false report to a law enforcement officer, disobeying an officer, operating as a certified habitual offender, and five counts of possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.
An arrest warrant for Gammon was entered into the National Crime Information Center, and she was subsequently apprehended through the combined efforts of the U.S.
Marshals Task Force and the Strafford County Attorney’s Office.
