WILLISTON — A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 89 South near mile marker 89.8 left two people injured and one driver fleeing the scene, Vermont State Police reported Thursday.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:56 a.m. on Jan. 16, 2025.
Two drivers, Kayla Ashley, 27, of Grand Isle, and Tahyoni White, 24, of Isle La Motte, were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for evaluation of injuries sustained in the accident.
According to police, the third vehicle involved, described as a black Ford F-150 with Vermont registration and minor rear-end damage, left the scene traveling southbound on I-89.
The driver is reported to be a middle-aged bald male wearing glasses.
State police are investigating the incident as a case of leaving the scene of an accident.
