Two injured in New Haven shooting, police investigate

NEW HAVEN — New Haven police are probing a shooting incident that left two people wounded late Wednesday night.

Authorities were called to the scene on Clover Place near Washington Avenue at 11:27 p.m. after reports of multiple gunshots.

Upon arrival, officers located one individual who had been struck by gunfire.

The victim was swiftly transported to a local hospital by medical responders.

A second gunshot victim arrived independently at a New Haven emergency room shortly thereafter.

Both individuals are currently receiving treatment for their injuries.

The New Haven Police Department has not released any information on potential suspects or motives.

The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are asking anyone with information to come forward to assist in the case.
