Grantham police arrest three in drug crackdown operations

GRANTHAM — In a continued effort to combat the illegal drug supply in Grantham, local police have arrested three individuals following the execution of two drug warrants in recent weeks.

The first operation took place on Nov. 2 at Great Northern Court, where police recovered a quantity of suspected class A drugs and cash.

A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The second warrant was executed at a Cambridge Street property on Thursday, Nov. 10.

Grantham’s local neighbourhood policing team seized another quantity of suspected class A drugs during the raid.

Enquiries are ongoing, and the two men arrested, aged 43 and 42, have been released on police bail.

Neighbourhood Police Sergeant Lee Mayfield emphasized the importance of community cooperation in these operations.

Mayfield expressed gratitude for the community’s assistance in building the necessary intelligence to execute the warrants and urged residents to continue reporting drug-related activities for the police to address offences swiftly and effectively.
