Hit-and-run crash in Grantham

GRANTHAM –– Grantham Police are seeking public assistance for an investigation into a hit-and-run incident involving a blue Skoda Octavia and a blue Ford transit pickup that occurred at the junction of Harlaxton Road and Dysart Road around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29.

According to police, the two vehicles collided and the driver of the pickup fled the scene.

Authorities are particularly interested in dashcam footage that may have captured the accident or either vehicle in the surrounding streets before and after the alleged incident.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and causing criminal damage in connection with the incident. He has since been released on police bail while the investigation continues.

Police are encouraging anyone with information to contact PC Geordie Brown.
