FERRISBURGH — A 32-year-old man from Colchester was cited for negligent operation following an incident in Ferrisburgh early this morning.
Police say they were traveling south on US Route 7 when a vehicle unsafely entered the southbound lane in order to overtake another vehicle.
The vehicle allegedly nearly caused a head-on collision with the trooper at around 12:25 a.m.
The driver was identified as Shukla Das.
Das was cited to appear in court on July 10 to answer the charge.
