Hit-and-run in Williston, driver flees on foot

WILLISTON — Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Williston this afternoon.

The crash took place on Route 7 at around 11:45 p.m.

According to the report, a vehicle rear-ended a vehicle on the off-ramp.

The driver left the scene and continued back onto I-89 NB.

Police say the complainant, Todd Racine, 44, of South Burlington, arrived at the Williston barracks to meet with troopers.

Police then received a call advising that the suspected vehicle had broken down on I-89 NB by exit 14W.

While en route to the scene, witnesses told police that the two occupants of the suspected vehicle fled on foot.

The vehicle was towed, and the investigation remains open pending further investigation.
