Man arrested for DUI drugs in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — A 39-year-old man from Burlington was arrested following an incident in Ferrisburgh today.

Authorities say they were notified that a man was unconscious in his vehicle while in the parking lot of the North Ferrisburgh Short Stop gas station on US Route 7 at around 8:50 a.m.

The driver was identified as Christopher Handy.

While speaking with Handy, police say they observed indicators of impairment.

Handy was screened and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and drugs.

He was transported to the Vermont State Police New Haven barracks for processing.

Police say he was later released with a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.
