GRANTHAM – A box truck crashed on I-89 in Grantham, New Hampshire, early this morning
The crash took place at approximately 3:17 a.m.
The New Hampshire State Police received calls about the incident, which occurred when the truck swerved to avoid hitting an animal in the roadway while traveling in the right lane.
The truck struck the right-hand guardrail for approximately 100 feet, then came to rest down the embankment.
The driver of the truck was uninjured in the crash and was evaluated at the scene by Grantham Fire and Rescue.
The interstate was temporarily shut down, as well as the right lane, for an extended period of time to safely remove the truck.
New Hampshire State Police were assisted on the scene by Grantham Fire and Rescue, New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and Patten’s towing.
