Two-vehicle crash with injuries in Whiting

WHITING — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in Whiting today.

The crash took place at the intersection of Vermont Route 30, and Leicester Whiting Road, at around 5:10 p.m.

Police identified one of the drivers as Walter Duda, 88, of Poultney.

According to the report, Duda was traveling west on Leicester Whiting Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign before entering Vermont Route 30 at around 30 miles-per-hour.

Duda’s vehicle struck Katherine Stiles, 30, of Hubbardton, who was traveling south on Vermont Route 30 at around 40 miles-per-hour.

Police say Stiles was not injured during the crash.

Duda and a passanger in his vehicle were transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
