Man arrested for violating abuse prevention order in North Troy

NORTH TROY — A 52-year-old man was arrested for violation of an abuse prevention order following an incident in North Troy on Friday.

Authorities say they were notified of a 911 open-line from a home on East Hill Extension at around 11:55 p.m.

Upon arriving, police say the two parties inside the home had been in a verbal dispute.

Following an investigation, police say that Timothy Phillips, of North Troy, was violating an active abuse prevention order by having contact with the female party inside the home.

Phillips was taken into custody and transported to the Derby barracks for processing.
