Suspicious activity leads to arrest in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 22-year-old man from Passumpsic was arrested following an incident in St. Johnsbury yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a suspicious man who was claiming to be a bounty hunter and acting strange at the Comfort Inn at around 10:15 p.m.

The caller told police that the man was wearing all camo and had just left the lobby.

Police identified the man as Tristan Garcia, who was found walking south on Route 5 near the St. Johnsbury barracks.

Following an investigation, police say that Garcia was in violation of court-ordered conditions.

He was arrested and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing, then released with a citation to appear at a later date in court.
