DANVILLE — Police say they have made an arrest after a Jeep crashed into another vehicle and a home in Danville back in April.

Tony Burrington, 22, of Danville, is being charged with leaving the scene of an accident, and negligent operation, relating to the incident.

Police say Jennifer Legacy contacted them at approximately 6:24 a.m. on April 30, to report a vehicle had crashed into her home on Peacham Road at some point during the previous night.

The 1998 Jeep Cherokee had traveled off the main portion of the road, striking Legacy’s vehicle and residence, causing damage to both.

When police arrived to investigate, the operator was not present and the license plate was not assigned to the Jeep Cherokee.

On Thursday, police announced that Burrington was arrested in connection with the crash and that he is due in court on June 27, 2016.
